Larry King of Westford, Vermont, recently passed away on March 20th, 2026, at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester. His passing marks the end of a life filled with dedication, warmth, and a deep love for family and community.

Born to Wilfred and Lillian King in Essex, Vermont, Larry grew up alongside his sisters Lillian and Violet, and brothers Butch, Ronald, and Daniel. From a young age, he demonstrated a strong work ethic, working for the family business, King’s Paving. He later pursued a career as an autobody mechanic at Bouchard and Sons, followed by positions at E.B. and A.C. Whiting, and Yankee Medical, where he dedicated 25 years of service.

Larry was a man of many interests. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and enjoyed singing and playing musical instruments. Known for his resourcefulness, he could fix or build nearly anything and was always eager to lend a helping hand to friends and family.

He was married to his beloved wife Helen T. King, for nearly 60 years. The couple met on a blind date in March 1965 and married on October 8, 1966. Larry is survived by his children, Laura Santaw and her husband Rodney, Larry King Jr. and his wife Pamela, Lonnie King and his wife Calen, and Lisa Brooks and her husband TJ. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Benjamin, Samantha, Emily, Alison, Casey, Chasca, Zerima, Oliver, Mitchell, Evan, and Natalie. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Paisley and MaKennah, along with many nieces and nephews.

Larry’s life was characterized by his unwavering love for his family, his generous spirit, and his commitment to helping others. His friends and community members remember him fondly for his warmth, humor, and willingness to always lend a hand.

His legacy of love, hard work, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him. Larry King’s memory will be cherished by family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
